The Tecno Pova 5G, with a price tag of less than Rs 20,000, will be released in India in late January, with smartwatches following suit.

Tecno, a Transsion Holding company, announced its first 5G-enabled handset, the Tecno Pova 5G, earlier this week. In an interview with GizNext, Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of Transsion India, revealed the handset's India launch timeline. Aside from smartphones, the company intends to enter the smartphone accessories market. According to Mr. Talapatra, the company intends to launch new TWS, speakers, and smartwatches in 2022.

Mr. Talapatra also revealed that the Tecno smartwatch will be available in Q2 2022 and will cost less than Rs 5000. In January, the company will release speakers.

Tecno Pova 5G: Spec, Features, and Price

The Pova 5G has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a punch hole notch. The Pova 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor and a Mali G68 GPU. The phone has a triple-rear camera setup that includes a 50MP sensor, a 2MP sensor, and an AI lens. The Pova 5G has a 12MP camera with a dual flash for selfies and video calls. The latest Pova series smartphone has a 6,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.
