We first heard about the Redmi K50 a few months ago, and it was confirmed last month that the phone would have multiple variants, including a Redmi K50 Gaming Edition with MediaTek's Dimensity 9000 chipset.

Some of these have now been confirmed with the release of the official teaser for the Redmi K50. Abhishek Yadav, a well-known tipper, tweeted the teaser along with the information he has personally confirmed. According to Abhishek, the teaser mentions Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but the Dimensity 9000 appears to still be an option for the Redmi K50.

Redmi K50 variants are possible.

Despite the teaser mentioning Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the tipster claims that the Reddmi K50 Series will have Dimensity 9000. As a result, it appears that at least two variants of the phone have been confirmed. A 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging is also confirmed by the teaser. The teaser also mentions 'dual VC liquid cooling,' implying that the phone may have two vapor chambers to provide a better cooling solution.

As of now, only two variants have been confirmed: one with MediaTek's Dimensity 9000 and another with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The possibility of a third variant cannot be ruled out.

According to a previous report, the Redmi K50 with Dimensity 9000 would have a 120Hz or 144Hz LTPO OLED display. The phone would also have an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and a quad-camera setup, according to the report.

There's not a lot of information about the phone's camera.

The primary camera sensor on the Redmi K50 Series could be a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 or Samsung ISOCELL GW3, with a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor on one of the variants. Aside from that, little is known about the phones, and until all of the variants are confirmed, the camera specifications are a bit jumbled.

However, we anticipate that more information about the Redmi K50 will begin to emerge soon ahead of its official launch, as Xiaomi has already begun teasing the phone on Chinese social media. As of now, we're expecting three variants: the base model, the K50 Pro 5G, and the K50 Pro Plus 5G.
