HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX (2007)

HOW TO WATCH HARRY POTTER MOVIES IN ORDER 91techinfo

Critics Consensus: It's not easy to condense the longest Harry Potter novel into the shortest HP film, but director David Yates succeeds admirably, creating an entertaining and action-packed Order of the Phoenix.
Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter
Directed By: David Yates

Themes of information suppression and power abuse are brought into Harry Potter's plot, continuing the dark tone generated by the previous installments. HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 1 (2010)

HOW TO WATCH HARRY POTTER MOVIES IN ORDER 91techinfo

Critics Consensus: Deathly Hallows: Part I is a gorgeously filmed, emotionally rewarding penultimate part for the Harry Potter series, yet it can't help but feel like the prelude it is.
Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Ralph Fiennes
Directed By: David Yates

The beginning of the entire story's climax is what the previous six films have all been building up to, and trust us, it's well worth the wait. Since their initial journey in the Philosopher's Stone, Harry, Hermione, and Ron have come a long way.

The film follows their development as they embark on their own, leaving behind loved ones and Hogwarts. FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM (2016)

HOW TO WATCH HARRY POTTER MOVIES IN ORDER 91techinfo

Critics Consensus: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a spinoff that builds on Harry Potter's rich mythology to create its own brand of franchise-building magic.
Starring: Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol
Directed By: David Yates

As a funny British magician named Newt (Eddie Redmayne) wanders across New York in 1926, capturing all the magical monsters that have escaped from his bag, viewers are shown the magical world outside of England for the first time.

Unlike Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them do not give viewers a complete picture of the Wizarding World. Instead, the film expands on it, providing those who are unhappy to see Harry's narrative come to an end with more magical adventures to sink their teeth into in the form of a benign spin-off featuring cute (well, mostly cute) critters.

HOW TO WATCH HARRY POTTER MOVIES IN ORDER 91techinfo

Critics Consensus: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald contains glimmers of the enchantment that Harry Potter fans are familiar with, but the story's spell isn't as strong as previous volumes.
Starring: Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol
Directed By: David Yates

Newt is still traveling around like the Wizarding World's version of a seasoned Pokémon trainer following the events of the first film. As Grindelwald finally makes his move, our favorite magizoologist is soon confronted with new perils and evil figures.

Even die-hard Potter fans may find it difficult to keep up with all of the subplots in this film, which is regarded as one of the lesser chapters in the Harry Potter universe.
