At CES 2022, Acer will unveil a new "beast" gaming laptop, which I am very excited about.
At CES 2022, Acer will showcase its Predator and Nitro laptops, as well as one that can be used at work.

The Acer Nitro 5 is the best budget gaming laptop in our best gaming laptops guide. So I was very excited to see the 2022 editions of Acer's Nitro and Predator gaming laptops unveiled at CES 2022, not least because Acer claims one of them is "a beast."
The Predator Helios 300 has a 165Hz QHD IPS panel and graphics up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. There's a 12-generation Intel Core i7 processor, up to 32GB of DDR5-4800 memory, and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. Two fans, liquid metal thermal grease, and Acer's CoolBoost technology keep it from overheating no matter how hard you push it.
The Predator Triton 500 SE is a super-thin "special edition" gaming laptop that is also intended for business use. It is available with a 12-generation Intel Core i9 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, and 32GB of LPDDR5-5200 memory.
NEW NITROS FOR GAMERS ON A BUDGET
The Acer Nitro 5, our best budget gaming laptop, also receives some welcome upgrades. The Nitro 5 can now be configured with up to a 12-generation Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, as well as twin M.2 SSD slots (PCIe Gen 4) and up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM. The QHD 165 panel has a response time of 3ms.
The Nitro 5 is also available with an AMD Ryzen 6000 Series processor, a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU, 32GB of DDR-4800 RAM, and either an FHD 144Hz or a 165Hz QHD panel. AMD FreeSync is available on both options.
The Acer Nitro 5 will be available in February/March for £799 to £1,499, while the Predator Helios 300 will be available for £1,399 for the 15.6-inch model and £1,499 for the 17.3-inch model.
The Predator Triton 500 SE will be available in Q2 2022, with prices ranging from £1,999 to £2,999 for the fully loaded model.
